Homemade Alfredo Sauce

Homemade Alfredo Sauce blends butter, cream, and cream cheese into a smooth, thick base seasoned with garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Parmesan cheese is folded in for richness and flavor. The sauce pairs well with all kinds of pasta and can be enhanced by adding cooked chicken and peas.

Description

This Alfredo sauce starts by melting butter, cream cheese, and heavy cream together while whisking to achieve a smooth consistency. Minced garlic is added for a mild aromatic note, then salt, cracked black pepper, and Italian seasoning provide a subtle herbal warmth. The sauce is allowed to thicken with continual stirring before folding in freshly shredded Parmesan cheese, which enriches flavor and adds creaminess.

Once made, the sauce can be tossed with freshly cooked pasta, especially fettuccine for classic pairing. Optional additions like shredded chicken and peas increase protein and add textural variety, turning the sauce into a complete entrée.

Sprinkling additional Parmesan on top before serving enhances the cheesy aspect and presentation. Preparing ingredients beforehand ensures smooth progress as this sauce thickens quickly.
