  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar

WET

  • 2 egg large
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 apple peeled, grated

TOPPINGS

  • Whipped Cream
  • cinnamon extra
  • pure maple syrup

Instructions

Get prepped

  1. Preheat the waffle iron.

Make the batter

  1. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
  2. In a smaller bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk and butter.
  3. Make a well in the dry ingredients, and mix in the eggs, milk and butter mixture until just combined.
  4. Fold in the apples.

Cook the Waffles

  1. Spray the waffle iron lightly with cooking spray (or brush with cooking spray)
  2. Cook in your waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Serve

  1. Remove from the waffle iron, top with whipped cream, extra cinnamon and sugar, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
  2. Devour.
