Homemade Brownie Recipe

This Homemade Brownie Recipe yields a dense, chocolate-rich dessert combining melted dark chocolate and butter with cocoa and chocolate chips. The batter is slightly whipped with eggs and sugar, then folded with dry ingredients before baking to produce brownies with a moist crumb and pockets of melted chocolate chips. The use of bittersweet cocoa powder and dark chocolate gives a deep chocolate flavor with balanced sweetness.

Description

The recipe begins by melting butter and dark chocolate together in a double boiler, stirring to achieve a glossy, smooth blend. Eggs and sugar are whisked separately to dissolve sugar and incorporate air. Dry ingredients including flour, baking powder, and bitter cocoa powder are gently folded into the egg mixture to preserve texture.

Adding the chocolate-butter mix and chocolate chips into the batter creates layers of chocolate flavor and occasional gooey pockets after baking. The batter is poured into a buttered and parchment-lined pan to ensure easy release and even baking.

Baking at 180°C (about 350°F) for around 25 minutes produces brownies that are cooked through yet moist and tender inside. The slight crust formed outside contrasts with the softer interior where chocolate chips melt. Adjusting the type of chocolate chips can alter sweetness and intensity.

This recipe results in a classic, chocolate-forward brownie suitable for dessert or snacks. It balances richness with light leavening for a satisfying texture.
