Homemade Chex Mix

Homemade Chex Mix is a crunchy snack made by coating a variety of Chex cereals, pretzels, and salted nuts with a seasoned butter mixture featuring Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, and onion powder. Baking at a low temperature while stirring helps evenly toast the mix for crispiness and flavor.

Description

This snack mix uses three types of Chex cereals blended with pretzels and salted nuts. A butter-based seasoning with Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, and onion powder is melted together and poured over the dry mix. The coated mixture is baked slowly at 250°F, stirred every 15 minutes, to develop a toasted, crisp texture while infusing the flavors uniformly.

Once baked and cooled, the mix is convenient to store in an airtight container, maintaining its crunch and seasoning. The seasoned butter adds savory and slightly tangy notes that complement the salty nuts and crunchy cereals, making it suitable for casual snacking or parties.
