Homemade Croutons with Parmesan

Homemade Croutons with Parmesan are crisp bread cubes tossed in melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, seasoned salt, and shredded Parmesan cheese. Baked until golden and crunchy, they add flavor and texture to salads, soups, or can be enjoyed as a snack.

Description

This recipe transforms cubed bread into crisp, flavorful croutons by coating them thoroughly in melted butter mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, seasoned salt, and Parmesan cheese. The bread cubes are evenly coated by hand and baked at 350°F until golden brown with occasional stirring to ensure even crisping.

The result is crunchy croutons with a savory, cheesy flavor profile highlighted by garlic and onion notes. These croutons add a satisfying texture contrast and flavor boost when sprinkled over salads and soups, or can be eaten as a seasoned snack on their own.

They store at room temperature for several days, and freezing is recommended for longer storage. Simply thaw them before use to enjoy fresh crispness. For a lighter version, the recipe suggests substituting melted butter with cooking spray to reduce fat content.
