Ingredients
- 2 cups brown rice
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 2 cups spinach finely chopped
- 1 cup carrots finely shredded
- 1 zucchini finely shredded
- 1 ounce package frozen green beans (cooked according to package directions)
- ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
- Pinch salt
Instructions
- Cook the brown rice according to the package instructions and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the turkey over medium heat, breaking apart into small pieces until cooked through and no longer pink.
- Once fully cooked, add the rice, chopped spinach, shredded carrots, shredded zucchini, green beans, chicken broth and a pinch of salt to the turkey and stir to combine.
- Cook everything over medium heat until the spinach wilts and the other vegetables become tender. Approximately 3-5 minutes.
- Once finished, allow it to cool completely before storing or serving to your fuzzy friend.
Notes
- Be mindful whenever changing your pet's diet, as it can cause loose stools. It’s best to transition slowly.
- Make sure to store the food in an airtight container in the refrigerator within 2 hours of cooking.
- It will stay fresh for up to 4 days—if it lasts that long!
- Beware that once you feed your dog this food, they will turn their nose up to everything else!
