Homemade Pancake Mix

Homemade Pancake Mix is a simple blend of flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt prepared in advance for convenience. When ready to use, it combines easily with milk, melted butter, and an egg to form a batter that cooks into classic pancakes with a light, fluffy texture and mild sweetness.

Description

This recipe provides a dry pancake mix combining all-purpose flour, baking powder for leavening, sugar for subtle sweetness, and salt for balance. This mix can be stored sealed for up to two months, offering an easy starting point for pancake preparation.

To make pancakes, sift the mix and add milk, melted unsalted butter, and one large egg, mixing until smooth. Cooking the batter on a medium-heated greased griddle or skillet yields pancakes that cook evenly, lifting easily when ready to flip. The final result is a stack of lightly sweetened, tender pancakes with a soft crumb.

These pancakes can be enjoyed with butter and syrup or other toppings as desired for breakfast or brunch.
