Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte

The Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte blends pumpkin puree with pumpkin pie spice, cane sugar, vanilla, warm milk, and coffee to create a smooth, spiced beverage reminiscent of the popular seasonal drink. Topped with whipped cream and an optional sprinkle of pumpkin spice, it offers a cozy, creamy coffee treat at home.

Description

This pumpkin spice latte mixes pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, cane sugar, and vanilla extract with warm milk in a high-speed blender until smooth. Hot coffee or espresso is added and blended further to combine everything evenly, producing a rich, creamy texture with balanced sweetness and spice.

The latte is poured into cups and garnished with whipped cream and extra pumpkin pie spice if desired, enhancing the seasonal flavor notes. The blend of the natural pumpkin flavor with warming spices and sweetened milk creates a comforting drink suitable for autumn or anytime you want a festive coffee experience at home.

Leftovers can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to two days. While substitutions like different milk types or pumpkin pie filling are possible, following the recipe yields the best flavor and consistency.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 tablespoon pumpkin puree
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice plus more for serving
  • 1 ½ tablespoon cane sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups milk warmed
  • ½ cup coffee strong or espresso
  • Whipped Cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Using a high speed blender add all the ingredients except for the coffee: pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spice, cane sugar, vanilla extract and milk. Blend until smooth and consistent. Then pour the hot coffee into the blender and blend again until it's all mixed together - about 2 minutes all together.
  2. Pour the latte into two cups and garnish with whipped cream, pumpkin spice, if desired.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 24-48 hours.
  • Milk type can be substituted to preference without major effect on flavor.
  • Pumpkin pie filling can replace puree and spice, but may alter sweetness and flavor.
