Homemade Ranch Dip

This dry ranch dip mix blends dried herbs and spices including parsley, dill, garlic, onion, black pepper, and chives with powdered buttermilk, creating a versatile flavor base. Mixed into sour cream, it yields a classic creamy ranch dip with herby, tangy notes. The fresh parsley sprinkled on top adds a final touch of color and freshness. The mix can be stored for future use.

Description

Homemade Ranch Dip uses a mixture of dried parsley, dried dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, dried onion flakes, ground black pepper, dried chives, kosher salt, and powdered buttermilk combined into a dry mix. Three tablespoons of this mix are stirred into sour cream to make the dip.

The dip has a creamy texture from the sour cream, enhanced by the tanginess and flavor contributed by powdered buttermilk and the dried herbs and spices. Freshly chopped parsley added just before serving adds a bright, fresh element.

The dry mix keeps refrigerated for months if stored properly, making it convenient for making fresh dip on demand. If powdered buttermilk is unavailable, sour cream can be partially substituted with fresh buttermilk. This dip can be served immediately or chilled to meld flavors further.
