Homemade Ranch Dressing Recipe

This Homemade Ranch Dressing balances creamy mayonnaise and sour cream with buttermilk to achieve a smooth texture. Flavored with dried chives, parsley, dill weed, garlic salt, onion powder, black pepper, and lemon juice, it provides a familiar tangy and herbaceous profile. After whisking and chilling for 30 minutes, the dressing develops a well-rounded flavor suitable for salads, dipping, or drizzling over vegetables and meats.

Description

The Homemade Ranch Dressing Recipe combines mayonnaise and sour cream with buttermilk to create a creamy base. A blend of dried herbs including chives, parsley, and dill weed infuses the dressing with herbaceous notes while garlic salt, onion powder, and black pepper add depth and seasoning. Lemon juice brightens the flavor and balances the richness. The dressing is whisked smooth and refrigerated for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. It can be used as a salad dressing, a dip for fresh vegetables or snacks, or a sauce complementing grilled or roasted dishes. The recipe can be stored covered in the refrigerator for one to two weeks but is not recommended for freezing. Making it ahead saves preparation time while maintaining fresh, consistent flavor.
