Sausage Patties are a popular choice for breakfast and brunch. In just 20 minutes, you can make your own juicy and delicious sausage patties at home!

Ingredients
- 3 lbs ground pork room temperature
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onions
- 2 tsp finely minced fresh parsley
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp ground sage
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
Instructions
- Combine all of the seasonings and mix together until well blended.
- Add the ground pork, maple syrup and onion, using your hands to combine thoroughly.
- Shape into patties and fry in a lightly oiled heavy skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Cook for a few minutes on each side until the patties are nicely browned and no longer pink in the middle. The best way to check for doneness is to insert an instant-read thermometer into the center of each patty. When it reaches 160°F, the patty is safe to eat.
Notes
- You can use your hands to shape the patties or place the ground pork between two pieces of plastic wrap and use a rolling pin to shape the patties to the desired thickness. To achieve a perfect round shape, use a cookie cutter or the opening of a drinking glass and press down.
