Homemade Silky Rub For Sore Muscles

A natural muscle rub recipe made with essential oils to soothe stuff muscles- it works quickly and smells amazing!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup almond oil
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • 1 tbs beeswax
  • 5 drops clove
  • 5 drops Deep blue or peppermint
  • 5 drops lavender
  • 5 drops Eucalyptus
  • 5 drops rosemary

Instructions

  1. Heat a double boiler over medium heat. In the double boiler combine the almond oil, coconut oil and beeswax. Heat until melted and fully combined (whisk every few minutes).
  2. Remove from heat and let cool on the counter very briefly- for about three minutes. (you don't want to heat the essential oils and risk damage). Add the essential oils to the mixture and whisk to combine fully.
  3. Let sit on the counter for 45-60min until mixture is mostly solidified. You're ready to go!
  4. This rub should last roughly 6 months in the cupboard only if no water has gotten into it as water causes mold.
