Homemade Window Cleaner
Description
Homemade Window Cleaner offers a practical mix of ingredients to clean windows effectively. Using rubbing alcohol helps to evaporate quickly and reduces streaking, while ammonia breaks down grime and grease. The dish detergent adds gentle cleaning power to lift dirt. Mixing these ingredients in a gallon jug makes it easy to prepare a large batch that can be used for multiple cleaning sessions.
The addition of blue food coloring is purely for safety to help users distinguish the solution from plain water, avoiding accidental misuse. This cleaner is a liquid solution suitable for use with a spray bottle, making application straightforward. The recipe advises gently shaking the jug to distribute ingredients evenly before use.
To use, fill a spray bottle with the solution and spray onto windows or glass surfaces, then wipe clean with a lint-free cloth or paper towel. This cleaner is suitable for home use and is a cost-effective alternative to store-bought window cleaners.

- 1 drop Food Coloring optional, blue
Instructions

- Using a funnel, fill the spray bottle with cleaning solution and clean away!

- Blue food coloring is optional and serves only to distinguish the cleaner from water for safety reasons.
- Shake the jug gently to mix contents before transferring the cleaner to a spray bottle for application.
