Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 (8 ounce) Brie cheese round
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ cup almonds chopped, roasted, salted
  • rosemary or fresh thyme, sprigs, optional to infuse honey
  • baguette sliced, or crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Place Brie on a small baking sheet. Bake about 10-12 minutes or until softened. Remove and let cool for about 5 minutes.
  3. While the cheese cools, place honey and a couple of sprigs of herbs (if desired) in a small saucepan over low heat until warm; stir in chopped almonds.
  4. Spoon honey mixture over the Brie; garnish with additional herbs, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • COOK'S TIPS AND RECIPE VARIATIONS:
  • Keep an eye on your brie as it's baking. You want it to be soft, but you don't want an oozing mess!
  • I light the salted roasted almonds, but you can substitute with other chopped nuts if you prefer. Pecans or walnuts would also be delicious!
  • Use a high-quality, flavorful honey. Since this recipe only requires 3 ingredients, you want those ingredients to be flavorful and the best.
  • This appetizer is best served while it's still warm, so prepare it just before you're ready to enjoy! But don't worry -- the brie will still be tasty at room temperature, so there's no harm in leaving it out during your party.
