Honey and Cinnamon Roasted Butternut Squash

Honey and Cinnamon Roasted Butternut Squash is diced squash coated in melted butter, honey, and cinnamon, then roasted until tender and caramelized. The combination of sweet honey and warm cinnamon enriches the natural sweetness of the squash, yielding a soft, flavorful side dish suitable for fall and winter meals.

Description

This recipe calls for medium-sized butternut squash peeled, seeded, and cut into uniform 1 1/2 inch cubes to ensure even roasting. The cubes are tossed with a blend of melted salted butter, honey, cinnamon, and fine sea salt before spreading out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roasting at 400°F for 45 to 55 minutes, with occasional turning, allows the squash to brown evenly and soften thoroughly.

The result is tender roasted squash with a subtle caramelization on the edges, balanced by the sweetness of honey and the warm spice of cinnamon. Its texture is soft yet maintains shape, making it an appealing accompaniment to roasted meats or grains.
