Honey Balsamic Brussel Sprouts

These Honey Balsamic Brussels Sprouts are oven-roasted until tender and caramelized, then tossed with a vinaigrette of balsamic vinegar and honey for a balance of sweet and tangy flavors. The roasting brings out a crispy edge while maintaining a tender interior, making them a flavorful vegetable side dish with simple seasoning.

Description

Brussels sprouts are halved and coated with olive oil, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper before roasting at 400°F. Roasting face down on a parchment-lined sheet pan encourages caramelization on the flat surface, yielding a mix of tender and slightly crispy textures.

While roasting, a mixture of balsamic vinegar and honey is prepared and then combined with the hot cooked sprouts to add a glossy, sweet-tart glaze. This finishing touch enhances their natural bitterness and gives a pleasant contrast.

Serve these sprouts immediately as a side that pairs well with roasted meats, poultry, or a main vegetarian meal. Their balanced flavor and texture offer a versatile complement for many menus.
