Honey Garlic Chicken

Honey Garlic Chicken features bite-sized pieces of chicken breast coated in seasoned cornstarch, pan-fried until browned, then simmered in a honey, garlic, soy sauce, and ginger mixture. The result is a glossy, sticky sauce that clings to the tender chicken. Garnished with green onions and optional toasted sesame seeds, this dish is a balanced combination of sweet and savory flavors, ideal served over rice.

Description

This Honey Garlic Chicken recipe involves coating chicken pieces in cornstarch seasoned with salt and pepper, then pan-frying them until crisp and cooked through. The sauce is a blend of honey, soy sauce, water, garlic, and fresh ginger, which is simmered to thicken and then combined with the chicken for a sticky, flavorful coating.

The finished dish offers a contrast of textures: a slight crispiness on the chicken's surface with a tender interior, complemented by a sweet and aromatic sauce. The garlic and ginger provide depth, while honey balances the savory elements.

Serving suggestions include garnishing with chopped green onion and toasted sesame seeds for added texture and color, and presenting the dish atop plain rice to absorb the flavorful sauce.
