Ingredients

Servings
  • 800 g chicken wings
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp ginger Minced
  • 1 tbsp neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes Adjust to taste
  • Coriander

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the chicken wings in a resealable plastic bag or a bowl and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the wings are well coated.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and let the wings marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes for more flavour.
  4. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  6. Arrange the marinated chicken wings on the baking sheet in a single layer, leaving space between each wing.
  7. Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until they are cooked through and crispy. You can flip them halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
  8. Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
  9. Garnish the wings with fresh cilantro or sesame seeds for added flavour and presentation.
  10. Serve the honey garlic chicken wings hot as an appetizer or a main dish, accompanied by your favourite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of red pepper flakes based on your preferred level of spiciness.
  • If you prefer a sweeter glaze, you can brush the cooked wings with a little more honey before serving.
