Honey Glazed Salmon
Description
In this Honey Glazed Salmon recipe, salmon filets are first seasoned with a dry rub of salt, pepper, granulated garlic, paprika, and chili powder to add depth of flavor and mild heat. The filets are then cooked skin-side down in a pan containing a sauce made of olive oil, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and fresh lemon juice. This gentle cooking bastes the fish, infusing it with a glossy sweet-salty glaze. After initial pan cooking, the skillet is transferred to the oven to broil the salmon, allowing the top to caramelize and achieve the desired doneness.
The resulting salmon has a flaky texture, with a balanced coating of sweet honey and savory soy accented by garlic and citrus brightness. The spice rub layers in gentle complexity without overpowering the natural salmon flavor. Serving the glazed salmon garnished with fresh parsley adds a fresh note and pleasant color contrast.
This preparation makes an elegant main dish for dinner and pairs well with rice or steamed vegetables for a complete meal. The glaze can be spooned over the salmon when serving to retain moisture and flavor intensity.
