Honey Lime Chicken Skewers
Description
Honey Lime Chicken Skewers are prepared by marinating boneless, skinless chicken breast cubes in a zesty blend that includes fresh lime juice and zest, honey for sweetness, soy sauce for saltiness, minced garlic and fresh ginger for pungency, along with cilantro and spices such as black pepper and cayenne for a gentle heat. The marination lasts from one hour up to six hours to allow the flavors to penetrate.
The chicken is threaded onto skewers and grilled over medium heat to about 375°F, which prevents burning of the sugary marinade and produces tender, well-cooked meat. Brushing the grill grates with oil helps prevent sticking. The finished skewers carry a glossy, flavorful coating combining sweet, tangy, and mild spice notes.
Serving suggestions include pairing with tropical sides like coconut rice and a variety of grilled vegetables for a colorful meal. The recipe advises controlling grill heat carefully to avoid charring due to the honey content. Fresh cilantro garnish adds brightness.

- 1/4 cup lime juice fresh
