After a busy day, this honey mustard chicken recipe is a life saver. Made with a few simple ingredients, quick to prep and ready to serve in 20 minutes, these sweet and tangy chicken breasts are a must try.

Ingredients
- 2 skinless chicken breasts cut in half horizontally
- salt and pepper
- 3 Tablespoons honey
- 3 Tablespoons mustard (wholegrain, Dijon, yellow or your favorite mustard)
- 3 Tablespoons butter melted
- 2 large garlic cloves minced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 F and grease the bottom of a baking dish with butter.
- Add mustard, honey, melted butter, and minced garlic to a small bowl and stir well.
- Season your chicken cutlets with salt and pepper, and place them in the prepared baking dish and brush them with the honey mustard sauce.
- Bake in a preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165 F.
- Serve warm with your favorite side and a side salad.
Notes
- You can also marinate the chicken in the honey mustard sauce for 30 minutes to an hour in the refrigerator for an even more intense flavor.
- Use an instant-read thermometer to check when your chicken is fully cooked through. It should register at 165F.
- Let the honey mustard chicken rest for 5 to 10 minutes under tented foil before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute.
- You can also brush extra sauce on the baked chicken if you want to add more of that delicious glaze on top.
