Honey Mustard Salmon
Description
The Honey Mustard Salmon recipe features salmon filets cooked in a skillet with olive oil and coated in a homemade glaze combining apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic, and seasoning. After searing the fish to a golden crust on both sides, the dish is topped with a grainy mustard mixture that complements the fish with added texture and a gentle tartness. The cooking approach ensures the salmon remains moist and flavorful without marinating time, making it practical for a quick preparation. The balance of acidity and sweetness in the glaze provides a bright contrast to the rich salmon flesh.
The glaze's use of apple cider vinegar and Dijon mustard creates a complex sauce that elevates the salmon's natural flavor. The final dish pairs well with simple sides such as steamed vegetables or rice, letting the glaze stand out. Serving the sauce on top allows each bite to maintain both moistness and a pronounced tang.
Leftover glaze can be saved for other uses, like salad dressings, adding versatility to the recipe. Storing remaining cooked salmon properly will keep it fresh for up to four days, providing convenient meal options later.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon skin on or off, filets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
