Honey Sesame Chicken Thighs
Description
This recipe uses boneless, skinless chicken thighs seasoned with salt, garlic powder, and paprika, then coated in cornstarch to create a light crust when pan-fried. The honey sesame sauce combines honey, low sodium soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, sesame seeds, and water, simmered until thickened. After cooking the chicken until fully done and browned on both sides, the sauce is added and cooked briefly to coat the chicken evenly.
The honey provides natural sweetness balanced by the soy sauce's saltiness and the sesame oil's nutty aroma. The sesame seeds add texture and a subtle toasted flavor. The cornstarch coating gives the chicken a slight crispness under the sticky glaze.
This dish works well with steamed rice or stir-fried vegetables, providing a flavorful main course with both sweet and savory notes.
