Hong Kong-Style Macaroni Soup
Description
This Hong Kong-Style Macaroni Soup features macaroni cooked to al dente, then combined in a warmed chicken stock broth with mixed vegetables and browned luncheon meat cut into small cubes. The soy sauce and black pepper season the soup, creating a well-rounded savory base.
The addition of a fried sunny-side-up egg on top adds both texture and a luscious richness to the dish, complemented by a final swirl of fragrant sesame oil. Green onions provide a mild, fresh contrast to the umami flavors in the soup.
