Ingredients

Servings
  • Hot cocoa
  • cookies golden Oreos, wafers or wafer rolls
  • marshmallows 2-3 different kinds, think mini, large and also flavored.
  • Candy use candy canes, peppermint candies and chocolate candies (M&M's and chocolate covered nuts).
  • Dips melted chocolate, caramel sauce or whipped cream.
  • toppings sprinkles, chocolate shavings and crushed peppermint
  • Other pretzels, graham crackers or cinnanon sticks for stirring and adding flavor.

Instructions

  1. Choose Your Board - Get a large cutting board, platter, or tray to arrange all your goodies. A marble or wooden board adds a nice touch.
  2. Arrange the Hot Chocolate Fixings - Start by placing small bowls of hot cocoa mix, whipped cream, and melted chocolate on the board. These are your essentials, so make sure they’re easy to reach.
  3. Add the Dippers - Next, arrange cookies, wafers, and biscuits around the bowls. You want a nice mix of sweet and salty options here.
  4. Fill in the Gaps with Treats - Scatter marshmallows, candy canes, and chocolate chips around the board. The goal is to fill in all the gaps so the board looks full and inviting.
  5. Top It Off - Finally, add any extras like sprinkles, fudge, or toffee squares. You can also include small spoons for scooping toppings or stirring the hot chocolate.

Notes

  • Variety is Key - Include a mix of flavors, textures, and colors to make the board visually appealing and so much fun to eat. Balance the Sweetness - Add in some salty things like pretzels or salted caramel to balance out all that sweetness. Keep It Fresh - Prepare your board just before serving to keep everything fresh and the cookies nice and crunchy. Kid-Friendly - If you’re serving this to kids, consider including some fun-shaped marshmallows or colorful sprinkles to keep things soooooo exciting. Store - Store leftover marshmallows, cookies, and candies in airtight containers. Melted chocolate can be refrigerated and reused for other desserts.
