Hot Honey and Bacon Whipped Goat Cheese
Description
This recipe softens goat cheese to room temperature and whips it in a food processor until light and fluffy. Crumbled cooked bacon and thinly sliced green onions are sprinkled over the spread for texture and savory notes. Drizzling hot honey adds sweetness with a mild heat that contrasts the tangy cheese.
The spread is served immediately and works well as a dip or a topping for crackers, chips, or fresh veggies. Freshly cracked black pepper adds aromatic spice to finish.
Allowing the goat cheese to sit before whipping helps achieve a smooth, creamy consistency. The combination of textures—from the creamy cheese to the crunchy bacon and onion—makes this a versatile appetizer component.
Ingredients
- 6 lices Bacon cooked and crumbled
- 11 ounces goat cheese softened
- 3 green onion thinly sliced
- hot honey for drizzling
- black pepper fresh ground
- crackers chips for serving
- Veggies for serving
Instructions
- I let the goat cheese sit out at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes. It doesn’t have to be super soft, but letting it sit out helps a bit!
- Place the goat cheese in the bowl of your food processor and blend. Blend until it’s completely creamy and whipped, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Spread the goat cheese on a plate or bowl. Drizzle it with hot honey (as much as you wish!) and sprinkle it with the bacon and green onions. Sprinkle all over with fresh cracked black pepper.
- Serve immediately with chips, crackers, veggies or even use it as a spread.
