Hot Honey Feta Fries
Description
This recipe turns frozen French fries into a flavorful dish by roasting them until extra crisp and then layering them with crumbled feta cheese. Reheating briefly melts the cheese slightly, which adds a creamy and salty contrast to the fries' crunch. Drizzling hot honey over the top introduces a spicy-sweet glaze that complements the feta's tanginess and the fries’ saltiness. Fresh herbs like cilantro, parsley, and chives provide freshness and color while cracked black pepper adds a subtle spice.
The method is simple: bake the fries at high heat for a crispy result, sprinkle with feta to warm and soften slightly, then finish with toppings. This approach allows the fries to maintain a crisp texture underneath while offering bold, contrasting flavors that enhance this comfort food classic.
Hot Honey Feta Fries can be served as a snack, appetizer, or side dish alongside grilled meats or salads. Adjust the amount of hot honey or herbs to suit your preferred heat and herbaceousness. This dish offers a balanced combination of crunchy texture and layered sweet, spicy, and salty flavors.
