  • 1 TB mayonnaise whole
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 TB water
  • ½ tsp hot pepper sauce I use Tabasco sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese cubed and softened, whole
  • 1 lb imitation crab meat chopped or shredded
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a microwavable bowl, combine all ingredients except for imitation crab meat. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until warmed through and smooth. Stir to combine well.
  2. Gently fold in crab meat, combining well. Cover and microwave 2 minutes or until hot. Taste and add salt/pepper as needed. Serve hot with crackers, breads, or veggies.

Notes

  • If the dip feels too thick, thin it by stirring in additional water a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
  • Serve the dip hot to keep it soft and creamy, as it firms up when cooled.
  • Consider substituting Old Bay seasoning for salt and pepper to add a different spice character.
