  • 1/2 cup barley pearled
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Pour 1/2 cup pearled barley into a small saucepan.
  2. Add water and salt and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Cover and reduce heat to lowest setting. Let cook for 30 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let rest 5-10 minutes. Fluff up with a fork and server or let cool for use in other recipes.
