A simple recipe for cooking canned Yams

Ingredients
- 2 Tbs butter real
- 1 15 oz yam drained, canned
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tbs brown sugar heaping
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice
- Pinch cayenne pepper optional
- Pinch black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium sized saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter in the bottom of the pan.
- Add the canned yams, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, salt, lemon juice, cayenne and pepper.
- Stir gently and continue to heat until heated through stirring frequently (5-7 minutes).
