How to Freeze Guacamole:
Method 1 - Freeze in Freezer Bags:
- The first method is placing the guacamole in freezer safe bags. This is my favorite way as it doesn't take up much space in the freezer.
- Make sure while sealing the bag that you remove all air bubbles.
- You can stack the freezer bags on top of each other if they are flatten.
Method 2 - Freeze in Mason Jars:
- Using mason jars to freeze guacamole is a great option if you do not want to use plastic.
- Simply fill the jar with guacamole while making sure to give room for the guacamole to expand as it freezes.
- Top the guacamole with a little olive oil to prevent browning on the top.
Method 3 - Freeze in Plastic Containers:
- You can also place guacamole in plastic containers. I like to get smaller containers so that I can just take out what I need.
- I like to wrap a small portion in plastic wrap and wrap tightly to keep air out. This will also help to reduce browning.
