Ingredients

  • milk
  • freezer-safe-containers, ice-cube trays or freezer bags

Instructions

  1. Place the milk in freezer-safe containers, the plastic jug it came in, jars, ice-cube trays or freezer bags.
  2. If necessary leave one inch of headspace in containers to allow for expansion in the freezer.
  3. Place lid on container and make sure it has an air-tight fit. Label container with date. Place in freezer and freeze.
  4. When ready to use place in refrigerator and let it thaw slowly for 24 hours up to several days if necessary.

Notes

  • Best to thaw and use frozen milk within 3-4 months for best results, but can be frozen longer and still used safely.
  • Heavy cream or half-n-half does not freeze well and will separate after thawing.
