How to Make a Salami Rose
Description
This recipe focuses on sculpting thin salami slices by folding them over the edge of a wine glass as a form. Each piece overlaps the last to build up several layers resembling rose petals. After completing around the glass’s rim, additional layers are added to add volume and depth to the rose shape. Finally, the shaped salami is placed on a serving plate by gently inverting the glass, leaving a charming salami rose decoration.
The flavor and texture come from the use of thinly sliced salami, which is flexible enough to fold and holds its shape due to its cured meat rigidity. This process results in an edible, visually appealing appetizer that can enhance a charcuterie board or party display.
Serve the salami rose as a cold appetizer or part of a meat platter. It’s a simple, elegant way to elevate presentation with minimal ingredients and effort.
Ingredients
- 8 salami thinly sliced
Instructions
- Place 1 piece of the salami on the wine glass and fold it over the rim.
- Then add another piece of salami on the wine glass and overlap it with the other one. Fold it over the rim as well.
- Continue this process around the entire rim of the wine glass. Make sure to press down on the salami so that it sticks to the other piece on the glass.
- Then add 3 more layers of salami around the top of the wine glass to form the layers of the rose.
- Then place 3 pieces of salami on a serving platter, overlapping them slightly to form the base of the rose.
- Gently place the wine glass upside down on top of the salami on the serving platter. Remove the wine glass to leave the salami rose on the plater.
- Then the rose is ready to serve and enjoy!
