Ingredients
- 1 baguette thinly sliced on a bias
- 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter or olive oil
- Sea salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°.
- Slice the bread on a bias about a 1/2” inch thick.
- Place the bread slices on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper. If you have a lot of slices, you may need 2 sheet trays.
- Evenly brush the melted butter or olive oil onto each bread slice.
- Season them with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the oven at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes or until browned around the edges and firm in the center, like a crust.
- Cool and serve.
Notes
- Make-Ahead: You can make this recipe up to 2 days ahead of time.
- How to Store: Cover and keep at room temperature for up to 5 days. Cover and refrigerate for up to 7 days. These do not freeze well.
- You can eat this as soon as they are done baking.
- Slicing on a bias means cutting it at a slight angle.
- You can enhance the flavor of these crostini by evenly sprinkling on 1 tablespoon of garlic granules, 1 tablespoon of onion granules, 1 tablespoon of dry thyme, or a combination.
