How to Make Garlic Butter

Learning how to make garlic butter is easy! With just a few ingredients you can have a flavorful butter to use on bread, with steak, or however, you choose!

Ingredients

Servings
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon thyme dried (see note)
  • ½ teaspoon rosemary dried
  • ½ teaspoon basil dried
  • ½ teaspoon parsley dried
  • 1 clove garlic minced

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Turn out onto plastic wrap.
  3. Shape into a roll, roll up in the plastic wrap.
  4. Place in the fridge until chilled.
  5. Slice and use as needed.

Notes

  • I use salted butter for this recipe. 
  • If you want to use fresh herbs, use 1 teaspoon of each. 
  • The butter can be kept in the freezer for up to 6 months. 
  • I use this butter in pasta, with steak, pork chops, chicken, and anything else!
