How to Make Oatmeal

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1 coop protein powder optional

Flavor Combos:

Banana Nut

  • ½ banana sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon walnuts chopped, or pecans
  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
  • Pinch cinnamon

Chocolate Peanut Butter

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter creamy
  • 2 teaspoons chocolate chips
  • nuts for topping
  • chocolate for topping, if desired, melted, for drizzling

Apple Cinnamon

  • ½ apple diced or sliced
  • 1 tablespoon pecans chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Banana Blueberry

  • ½ banana sliced
  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon almond butter
  • chia seeds sprinkle

Strawberries and Cream

  • ½ cup strawberries sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • coconut for topping, sprinkle

Pumpkin Spice

  • ¼ cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • pecans for topping

Instructions

  1. Add the oats, milk, water, and salt to a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring the to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes or until the oats have thickened and cooked through.
  3. Turn off the heat and stir in the protein powder (if desired). If the batter is too thick, add another ¼ cup of milk.
  4. Stir in mixings and toppings of choice and enjoy immediately!
