Iced Brown Sugar Oat Espresso (Starbucks Copycat)

The Iced Brown Sugar Oat Espresso replicates a creamy coffee drink featuring espresso, homemade brown sugar syrup, oat milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. The syrup adds a rich sweetness balancing the robust coffee, while oat milk offers a smooth, dairy-free creaminess. Shaking the drink creates a frothy texture and well-mixed flavors, making it refreshing and lightly spiced with cinnamon.

Description

This copycat recipe begins by preparing a brown sugar syrup from light brown sugar dissolved in hot boiling water, providing a deep caramel sweetness. Freshly brewed espresso shots are combined with the syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ice in a jar or shaker. Vigorous shaking froths the drink and blends the spices evenly. The beverage is topped with oat milk and a cinnamon dusting, enhancing creaminess and aroma.

The drink balances sweet, spicy, and bitter notes with oat milk lending a smooth texture without dairy. The cinnamon adds warmth that complements the vanilla and brown sugar flavors, while the espresso provides a robust coffee foundation.

Best served cold and freshly shaken, this drink can serve as a refreshing yet comforting pick-me-up. It is suitable for oat milk lovers or those avoiding dairy, presenting the popular coffeehouse flavor at home. Use a cocktail shaker or jar with a lid to get a foamy texture before serving.
