Iced Raspberry Lattes
Description
Iced Raspberry Lattes combine the tartness of fresh raspberries turned into a smooth syrup with the robustness of espresso. The raspberry syrup is prepared by gently simmering raspberries, sugar, and water, then straining to remove seeds, resulting in a silky and fragrant base. When poured over crushed ice, then layered with espresso and milk, the drink offers a layered flavor experience—sweet, fruity, and coffee-forward—served cold to refresh.
The crushed ice helps keep the drink chilled without watering down the syrup immediately. The balance of syrup quantity and espresso shots can be adjusted to taste. Garnishing with berries adds a fresh touch.
This latte is suited to warm weather or when a fruity twist is desired in a coffee drink.
Ingredients
raspberry syrup
- 2/3 cup raspberries fresh
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
iced lattes
- ice crushed
- 2 to 3 tablespoons raspberry syrup
- 1 to 2 espresso shots
- milk of choice
Instructions
raspberry syrup
- Heat the raspberries, sugar and water in a saucepan over medium low heat. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved. Let the mix lightly simmer for 4 to 5 minutes, until the berries break down. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a jar to strain out the seeds. This stays great in the fridge as long as it’s in a sealed container!

- Fill the glasses with crushed ice and pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of the syrup over top – however much you would like! Add you desired amount of espresso (hello multiple shots) and fill the rest up with milk. Garnish with a berry or two. Enjoy!
