Iced White Chocolate Mocha
Description
This beverage combines white chocolate chips melted gently with a portion of the milk and sugar, creating a sweet, creamy base. Cold coffee and the remaining milk are then stirred in, with the option of richer texture added by heavy cream. The mixture is poured over ice to chill and dilute slightly, balancing the sweet creaminess with coffee’s bitterness.
The white chocolate’s smooth flavor complements the robust coffee, providing a dessert-like iced mocha drink that can be enhanced visually and texturally by whipped cream topping.
For a frozen variation, doubling the sugar and blending the ingredients with ice creates a frappuccino-like consistency. If chilled coffee is not available, hot coffee can be cooled prior to preparing or brewed at double strength and cooled over ice.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup milk any percentage, divided
- 2 tablespoons white chocolate high-quality chips are fine, 1oz, chopped
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup coffee strong and cold
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream optional
- 1 1/2 cup ice
- Whipped Cream optional, for topping
