In-N-Out Animal Style Fries Recipe
Description
The In-N-Out Animal Style Fries recipe starts with a generous portion of frozen French fries cooked according to your preferred method—baking, frying, or air frying. While the fries cook, a simple sauce is prepared by blending mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, and white vinegar. The chopped white onions are sautéed in butter until caramelized, imparting a sweet and rich flavor. Once the fries are ready, they are layered with slices of American cheese, the butter-caramelized onions, and finished with the tangy sauce. The warmth of the fries helps melt the cheese slightly, marrying the components together.
The dish delivers a combination of textures, from the crisp fries to the creamy cheese and smooth sauce, offset by the softness and slight sweetness of the caramelized onions. Serving it immediately ensures the fries retain some crispness while the cheese and sauce remain luscious.
For best results, refrigerate any leftover sauce in an airtight container and use it within one week. This recipe works well as a snack, appetizer, or side and can be adapted with different fry types or cheese preferences if desired.
