Instant Pot Baked Ziti

Instant Pot Baked Ziti combines whole wheat pasta, spinach, and marinara sauce cooked together under pressure, topped with ricotta, Pecorino Romano, and mozzarella cheeses melted to a creamy finish. The dish balances hearty pasta texture with melty cheese and vibrant tomato sauce, all prepared efficiently in one pot.

Description

In this Instant Pot Baked Ziti, pasta and chopped spinach are cooked with water, garlic, and salt, then bathed in marinara sauce. Cooking under high pressure with no stirring allows the pasta to absorb flavors. After cooking, the pot is opened, the pasta stirred, and dollops of ricotta are added along with grated Pecorino Romano and mozzarella cheeses. The lid is replaced briefly, letting the cheese melt into a creamy topping.

The result is a comforting casserole-like pasta dish with tender pasta enveloped in tomato sauce and a blend of creamy and sharp cheese flavors. The inclusion of spinach adds subtle earthiness and a boost of color.

This recipe is convenient for one-pot cooking and works well as a main dish for family meals. The combination of cheeses on top offers a layered cheesy texture that contrasts the saucy pasta underneath.
