Instant Pot Beef Stew

This Instant Pot Beef Stew features bite-sized chuck roast pieces browned then pressure-cooked with tomato sauce, chicken stock, spices, and vegetables like potatoes, carrots, and onions. The stew develops a rich, hearty flavor and tender meat in a fraction of traditional cooking time. Smoked paprika and garlic powder add depth, making it a comforting meal especially when paired with crusty bread.

Description

The Instant Pot Beef Stew uses chuck roast cut into bite-sized chunks, browned in vegetable oil to develop flavor. It is then pressure-cooked with tomato sauce and chicken stock, allowing the beef to become tender. Adding smoked paprika and garlic powder infuses the stew with warmth and subtle smoky notes. Vegetables including potatoes, carrots, and onions contribute body and texture to the dish.

The pressure cooking method drastically reduces stew time while producing rich, melded flavors and tender meat. The stew’s consistency is thick and hearty with soft vegetables.

This beef stew serves well as a standalone main course offering a comforting and filling meal. It can be accompanied by bread or simple greens.
