Instant Pot Beef Tips and Gravy

Report
Instant Pot Beef Tips and Gravy combines browned stew meat and onions pressure-cooked with beef stock and cream of mushroom soup to create tender beef in a savory gravy. A cornstarch slurry thickens the sauce into a smooth, rich coating. This comforting dish can be served with vegetables or starches for a hearty meal.

Description

This recipe starts by browning stew meat and diced onions in the Instant Pot using the sauté function to develop flavor. Once browned, beef stock, cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper are added. The pot is sealed and pressure cooked on high for 15 minutes, tenderizing the meat quickly.

After pressure cooking, a cornstarch and water mixture is whisked into the pot to thicken the cooking liquid into a gravy. The sauté mode is used again to bring the gravy to a boil and thicken it slightly, resulting in a smooth, glossy sauce enveloping tender beef pieces.

The dish pairs well with a side of vegetables or starch such as mashed potatoes or egg noodles, providing a comforting, easy-to-prepare beef entrée using simple ingredients and the convenience of the Instant Pot.

The original notes suggest serving with favorite vegetables, emphasizing a simple and satisfying meal.
