Instant Pot Boneless Pork Chops Recipe
Description
The method begins with sautéing boneless pork chops in olive oil inside the Instant Pot to brown the meat and develop flavor. After browning, butter and ranch seasoning mix are added atop the chops, followed by water. Sealing the lid and cooking on high pressure for five minutes allows the chops to become tender while absorbing the ranch and butter notes. A natural pressure release for five minutes, then quick release, finishes the cooking.
The pork chops yield tender, moist meat with a flavorful buttery herb sauce. This dish is a straightforward main course suitable for busy weeknight meals. The sauce from the pot can be spooned over the meat and vegetables for added taste.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. For best results, brown the chops well during sautéing for a richer flavor and deglaze the pot bottom by scraping to avoid burn warnings during pressure cooking.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 6 pork chops boneless
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
- 1 package ranch seasoning mix (1 oz)
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Turn the instant pot to the sauté setting and add in the olive oil. Then add in the pork chops and cook for 3-6 minutes on each side until browned. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the instant pot insert to remove anything that might have gotten stuck while browning the pork chops.
- Place the butter on top and sprinkle the ranch mix packet on top of the pork chops in the instant pot.
- Pour water over the pork.
- Place the lid on and set the lid to the sealing position.
- Push the manual button and cook on high pressure for 5 minutes.
- After this cook time, allow the pressure to release naturally for 5 minutes and then do a quick release by move the valve on the lid from the sealing to the venting position to release the remaining pressure from the instant pot.
- Then they are ready to serve and enjoy!
- You can even spoon the buttery sauce over the pork chops and over your veggies when serving.
Notes
- Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
- Browning the pork chops well before pressure cooking enriches the flavor and helps prevent burn notices.
- Scrape the bottom of the Instant Pot between searing sides to remove browned bits and avoid stuck food.
- Spoon the buttery ranch sauce over the pork and vegetables when serving for extra flavor.
