Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice a few times under running water to get rid of the excess starch.
  2. Place brown rice, water and olive oil in the instant pot. 
  3. Secure the lid and make sure the knob is on "seal". 
  4. Press "pressure cook" (manual) and set it on "high". Set the timer for 24 minutes. 
  5. Wait for the brown rice to cook in the instant pot. Let the pressure release naturally. 
  6. Open the lid and fluff the rice using a fork. 

Notes

  • Use chicken or vegetable stock instead of water for extra flavor, or mix both.
  • Add herbs like cilantro or parsley just before serving for freshness.
  • Make a large batch and portion into meal prep containers for easy weekday meals.
