Instant Pot Glazed Carrots Recipe
Description
The Instant Pot Glazed Carrots Recipe features baby carrots steamed under pressure until tender, preserving their natural sweetness and color. After steaming, the carrots are sautéed directly in the pot with melted butter, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon to form a gentle glaze that coats each carrot. The short sauté step softens the carrots further while intensifying the sweetness and adding a mild spiced note from the cinnamon.
This dish offers a balance of soft textures with lightly caramelized edges from the sauté. The addition of fresh parsley before serving contributes a fresh herbal hint that cuts through the buttery sweetness, enhancing the overall flavor without overpowering the carrots.
Glazed carrots prepared this way can complement a wide range of main courses or serve as a straightforward vegetable side. The recipe’s method ensures quick preparation and consistent tenderness without mushiness.
Options exist for dietary preferences, such as using coconut or vegetable oil instead of butter, or alternative sweeteners like honey or maple syrup. The carrots store well in the refrigerator for several days, and reheating gently on the stovetop preserves their texture and flavor.
