Instant Pot Ground Beef Stew Recipe
Description
This ground beef stew uses lean beef cooked in an Instant Pot alongside Yukon gold or red potatoes, diced carrots, frozen green peas, and a mix of Italian seasoning, parsley flakes, garlic, and salt. The tomato base includes canned tomato sauce, paste, and diced tomatoes, enhanced by beef broth. Pressure cooking for 5 minutes under sealing valve allows flavors to meld and vegetables to soften without overcooking the tender beef.
The stew has a thick, savory broth with a blend of herbs giving aromatic depth. The ground beef breaks into bite-sized pieces while the potatoes and carrots absorb the stew flavors. Serving alongside crusty bread complements this dish by providing a textural contrast and the ability to sop up the broth.
Quick release from the pressure cooker preserves the texture of vegetables and avoids further cooking. This stew can be a convenient, filling meal with balanced ingredients and no complex preparation.
