  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 onion (diced)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 red bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 cups elbow pasta
  • 3 cups cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

  1. In a the Instant pot, cook the ground beef with the diced onion on the sauté setting until it is no longer pink. Then drain off any excess grease.
  2. Then add in red bell pepper, Italian Seasoning, salt, pepper, tomatoes, milk, broth, and pasta.
  3. Stir to combine from the bottom of the pot and make sure the pasta is completely covered.
  4. Add the lid and set to sealing position.
  5. Set to high pressure for 3 minutes.
  6. Do a quick release after the cook time and stir the homemade hamburger helper to make sure it is not stuck to the bottom.
  7. White hot stir in the shredded cheese until melted.
  8. Serve immediately.
