Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs

This recipe shows how to cook hard boiled eggs perfectly using an Instant Pot. Eggs are placed on a rack above water and cooked at high pressure, then cooled quickly to make peeling easier. The method delivers consistent results with fully cooked yet tender whites and creamy yolks. It provides two pressure cook times for firmer or slightly softer yolks. It's a practical technique for meal prepping or snacks.

Description

Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs uses pressure cooking to steam eggs on a rack inside the pot with water below. The eggs cook under high pressure for a few minutes, followed by natural pressure release or quick release depending on doneness preference. Then, rinsing eggs under cold running water stops cooking and makes peeling easier.

The flavor is straightforward, with the eggs retaining their normal taste but cooked more evenly through the efficient sealed environment. The texture ranges from fully hard boiled to slightly softer yolks depending on the pressure cooking time chosen, offering some versatility for different uses.

These eggs can be served as a snack, in salads, or for meal prep. The Instant Pot method yields consistent eggs quickly without the need to watch boiling water or time closely. It also simplifies peeling compared to traditional methods.
