Notes
- Table of Rice Cooking Times
- White rice: 1 ½ cups water, 3 minutes pressure
- Brown rice: 1 ¼ cups water, 22 minutes pressure
- Jasmine rice: 1 cups water, 4 minutes pressure
- Wild rice: 3 cups water, 25 minutes pressure
- Basmati rice: 1 ½ cups water, 4 minutes pressure
- Notes
- High-quality rice will cook more evenly and have a better texture.
- Some people prefer a bit drier or wetter rice, and you can adjust the ratio accordingly by adding a little more or less water.
- For extra flavor you can sauté the rice in oil to gently brown the grains before mixing it with the water in the Instant Pot.
- Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes. Opening the Instant Pot too soon can release the pressure and cause the rice to be undercooked.
